We are almost at the end of our first year as AIT, with a New Year ahead as the new combined AIT & TARDA website, where all the important information you will need is in one place. We will bring you the latest news and developments in the world of timeshare, the good, the bad and the very ugly, highlighting your stories from “Nightmare on Timeshare Street” through to successful resolutions and even hope to bring you some stories about the good aspects of timeshare, just don’t hold your breath on that one.
We shall also be bringing you some new features, these will focus on life after timeshare, a new world of vacations to explore. These will give you ideas for assembling your own vacation, and visiting the sites and cities you always dreamt of, with a little pampering on the way. You will be surprised at the possibilities and our first will look at a two-week tour, taking in Malaga, Seville and finishing off in Madrid.
Another feature is the re-publication of articles written before AIT, these will feature the history behind events such as our re-run of the Silverpoint debacle. The first for the New Year will be “Anfi: The Story Behind the News”. This will look at the early development of Anfi and the “Dream” of one man, a dream that took a very different course from the one he envisaged.
Another Anfi Saga will focus on the Tauro Beach Project and the tangled web of deceit and illegal manoeuvrings that went on. The first criminal charges were brought against the head of the Coastal Authority, with a verdict of guilty, the investigation is still underway and goes right through to the local authorities. The article will also highlight the manipulation of a local celebrity in the publicity, one which did anger a lot of people.
What these articles will do is show you that it is not the product that is at fault, but the greed that surrounds the industry, the manipulation which goes on behind the scenes and the difficulty the authorities have when tasked to investigate. We hope that the industry takes note of the feeling of their “members” and the negative image of their product. It is time for change and to use the words of TARDA “To Change: ‘what is into What should be’.”
Our last article for 2022, will be from Larry Lobbyist, a Westgate Timeshare Hostage. The article “A New Year Save the Date: Westgate Protest January 5″ explains the protest outside of the Westgate Annual Meeting on January 5th near Westgate Lakes during the hours of 9 am to 6 pm.
